The ANTWERP TWINS^™ Polishing Concept is suitable for all shapes of diamonds; existing classical shapes ranging from round and cushion to pear and rectangular, new not-classical and/or non-existing shapes. Even for deep cuts or shallow cuts this new Polishing Concept brings extraordinary fire and brilliance into the diamonds.

The ANTWERP TWINS^™ all have one feature in common: a fully faceted dome-shaped crown, with either no table at all or only a tiny “culet”-style facet in the center of the crown.

These innovative cuts are applied to fairly small and even large diamonds, most of them between 1 and 15 ct (and more), as well as diamonds of different colors (from D until Cape, especially Fancy Colors).

The ANTWERP TWINS^™ technique shows a balanced contrast pattern, which is very unusual for non-traditional diamond cuts (and even for the standard fancy cuts). When comparing one of the round shapes with a round brilliant cut (graded by GIA as “Excellent”) of the same diameter, the classic cut appeared darker overall, with a less subtle contrast pattern. The fragmented specular reflection or glare of the additional crown facets, in combination with an efficient light path migration inside the ANTWERP TWINS™ Diamond, results in this brighter and more sparkly look.

This revolutionary method of Polishing has been patented and is marketed as “ANTWERP TWINS^™.” The name was chosen to reflect the polishing process’s city of origin and the fact that these Diamonds have two “dome-faceted” sides (crown and pavilion), with double brilliance.

ANTWERP TWINS^™ covers the study to optimize the polished diamond out of the rough, followed by the revolutionary Polishing Process, to result in the polished diamond itself.
